Highlands Educational Literacy Program, Inc. April 2008
H.E.L.P. would thank the community, sponsors, volunteers and participants who helped to make the Rock, Paper, Scissors, Tournament a success. This event helped to promote public awareness of the services offered by the Literacy Program and to raise funds for these services.

H.E.L.P. Participates in the Family Fun Day
Family Fund Day was held at the Emory & Henry College Saturday April 5, 2008. Alma & John Blankenship along with Anne Maio were there representing the Highlands Educational Literacy Program, Inc. They handed out packets of information about the Literacy Program and encouraged participants to become tutors for the program. Alma and Anne are Community Literacy Leaders for the program.
H.E.L.P. Celebrates 20th Birthday
The HELP Literacy Program celebrated its’ 20th year of service to the community at the Finals for the Rock, Paper, Scissors Contest. The celebration was held at the 4-H Center in Abingdon with entertainment by the Valley Echoes. A good time was had by all.
Spring Clean-Up
H.E.L.P. is having a yard sale Saturday morning, May 10, in Damascus.
Gently-used items would be appreciated.
